1. Who we are
Apart Works (“ApartWorks”, “we”, “us”) is a marketing agency based in Coldwater, Ohio. This policy explains what personal information we collect through apart.works (including the SIGNAL scan tool), why we collect it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email hello@apart.works.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and inquiry forms: your name, company, email address, phone number (optional), website, budget range, how you heard about us, the services you’re interested in, and your message.
- “Get in touch” email signup: your email address and, if you add it, your phone number.
- SIGNAL scan: the website address you ask us to scan, and the email address (and optional phone number) you give us to receive your report or a call back.
- Anything you send us directly, such as emails to our team.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, which our servers log for security, spam prevention and troubleshooting.
- Spam protection: our forms and the SIGNAL scan use Google reCAPTCHA, which looks at technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots.
- Usage analytics (only if you accept): Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with our pages, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, to help us improve the site. Clarity masks text you type into forms. It does not run unless you click Accept on our cookie banner.
- Your cookie choice: when you accept or decline cookies, we record your choice with your IP address, browser details and the time, as a record of consent.
3. How we use it
- To answer your inquiry, schedule a call and provide the services you ask for.
- To send you a copy of your inquiry and a confirmation that we received it.
- To run your SIGNAL scan and email you the report.
- To send you occasional updates and marketing about ApartWorks (see Email & text messages). You can opt out at any time.
- To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix problems.
- With your consent, to understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To comply with the law and protect our rights.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on these legal bases: taking steps you request before entering into a contract (answering inquiries), our legitimate interests (security, spam prevention, business communications with business contacts), your consent (analytics cookies, and marketing where consent is required) and legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use a few that are essential for the site to work, and analytics cookies only if you accept them.

Microsoft may also set its own cookies on its Clarity domains when Clarity is running. See Clarity’s cookie list and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Changing your choice
You can change your cookie choice at any time. If you decline after accepting, Clarity stops and its cookies are removed. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site (such as the forms) may not work without essential cookies.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, under contracts that limit how they can use it:
- Klaviyo: stores contact details from our forms and sends our email and text updates.
- Mailgun: delivers the emails our site sends, such as inquiry notifications, copies and scan reports.
- Google (reCAPTCHA): spam protection. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Microsoft (Clarity): usage analytics, only if you accept cookies.
- Google Cloud: hosts our website and servers.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business. Some of these providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
6. Email & text messages
When you submit a form, you’ll receive a confirmation about your inquiry and may receive occasional updates from ApartWorks by email. If you give us your phone number, we may also contact you by phone or text message about your inquiry and our services. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.
- Email: click “unsubscribe” in any marketing email.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.
- Or email hello@apart.works and we’ll remove you.
Mobile numbers and text-messaging consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
7. How long we keep it
- Inquiries and contact details: for as long as we have a business relationship with you or need them to respond and follow up, and then only as long as required for legal or accounting purposes.
- Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details.
- SIGNAL scan reports: 90 days.
- Cookie-consent records: 90 days.
- Server and security logs: kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
8. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- have your information deleted;
- object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent at any time (this doesn’t affect processing that happened before);
- opt out of marketing, and of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we don’t do either);
- receive your information in a portable format.
To make a request, email hello@apart.works. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. You can use an authorized agent where the law allows. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted server access and spam protection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
This site is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page, and if the changes are significant we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know.
